beyond the crisis: The Islamic finance in the new financial order
Madrid, June 16th and 17th, 2010:
- The opening ceremony will be presided by Spain’s Minister of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, Excmo. Sr. D. Miguel Sebastián and H. R. H. Prince Saud Bin Naif Bin Abdelaziz Al-Saud, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The president of the Madrid Stock Exchange, Antonio Zoido, will be also attending.
- The conference will be an exceptional gathering of experts on Islamic finance, representing business, academia, and government. The delegates will share their knowledge and insight into contemporary issues and best practice guide to use Islamic finance successfully into practical projects.
- The forum offers a widespread platform to encourage discussions on the key Islamic economic and financial issues relevant to domestic and global market. The conference is expected to attract a large number of domestic and international market leaders.

The conference will be open at Madrid Stock Exchange on June 16th with keynote speech by both a Spanish and Saudi personality. The title will be “Beyond the Crisis: The Islamic Finance in the New Financial Order”
The following day, at IE Business School facilities, a total of 3 workshops will take place. The attendance to the workshop will be free of charge and by invitation only.
A closing session on “Islamic banking in the framework of ethical finance, what potential may it have in the Spanish market?” will be held at Casa Árabe.
