Competition 2016 – ‘What is Out There?’

In the context of the “What is Out There?” Competition, SCIEF organized a conference to explore the similarities and differences between Islamic and ethical finance. This conference explored some of the ethical issues surrounding finance and investment.

Islamic Finance has grown rapidly in the recent years, from about USD200 billion in 2003 to an estimated USD 2 trillion at the end of 2015. Anyhow, it is an almost unknown industry in Europe.

In this conference, we wanted to show you a different perspective on how finance and investment can be developed, and also get involved in promoting the financial innovation and the positive use of financial resources.
