Saudi Vision 2030's Commitment to Water, Food, and Energy Security

Saudi Vision 2030, in alignment with the UN SDG’s, encompasses a multifaceted approach to ensure food, water, and energy security. Recognizing heavy food imports, the Vision aims to boost local production and reduce reliance on oil. The growing population, expanding at 3.3% annually, necessitates increased food production. Organic farming is promoted to meet the demand for organic products and sustainable agriculture, as well as reducing food waste in the Kingdom.

The National Water Strategy ensures water management and access. Objectives include enhancing water demand management, delivering quality water services, and promoting governance transparency.

To make agriculture sustainable, the Vision 2030's strategy focuses on optimizing water resources, improving irrigation, and reusing treated wastewater. Regarding energy, the Vision’s plan seeks diversification with 50% renewable energy by 2030, promoting the Circular Carbon Economy. Saudi Vision 2030 commits to a sustainable future with a strong focus on resource efficiency and environmental preservation.
