Competition 2017 – ‘Fintech Islamic Finance Challenge’

The main objective of this Challenge supported by the Islamic Development Bank and IE Foundation was to listen to creative and innovative minds looking for solutions to improve the access to Islamic financial
services through technology and to those who are determined to contribute to a socially responsible development according to the Islamic finance principles. The FinTech Islamic Finance Challenge was an opportunity to transform technology based ideas into a social impact finance projects.

The selected projects had a 1 week boot camp at IE Business School and free mentoring for their projects with 38,000 USD in prizes!

This was a great opportunity for entrepreneurs focused on Fintech and social impact projects. The FinTech Islamic Finance Challenge reached its conclusion on the 9th February 2018 with a final pitch competition, where judges assessed the business’ progress of f ive entrepreneurs over the IE Bootcamp. A first place prize of $20,000 for the best project. Also two more prizes of $10,000 and $8,000 was shared among the second and third projects.
